18 Days to Go!

Did not feel like working out at all yesterday but after a delicious breakfast i got out there and by the time my energy felt a tad better i even managed to squeeze in a little interval training – full disclosure , the reps were mainly between 15 and 20 seconds as i needed extra recovery time. I'd love to say the rest of the day was a breeze but going ouy w my lill one these days is anything but that. Still we finally got to see #findingdory and we all loved it. Today im grateful for having a family day to spend time with my guys. I am a happy, healthy and energetic woman. I love that im setting my goals and going for them. #HABselflove #gratitudejournal #recovery #mindset #positivequotes #positivity #allyouneedislove #bettertogether #hugsandbacontribe

Bike is finally sorted so i took it for a spin today and mixed in a few minutes of #HIIT as yesterday i moved around a lot but there was no real exercise. Kinda shot myself on the foot by not having all my meals today. I just wasn't hungry enough for lunch and ended up not having real meals and snacked a lot. No.big deal as they were all healthy enough and in small portions. I sure won't torture myself over that but hope to learn a lesson from this as felt really weak tonight. Today I'm grateful for my other half who's really supportive of me and whatever crazy idea i come up with. I am a active, positive and healthy women and i love my strong legs, they never give in! #gratitudejournal #positivequotes #hugsandbacontribe #newtocycling #biker

In between not being able to run and not having the best bike for my height i felt a bit stuck for choice on work out. Guess what? #HIIT is free and easy to fit into a crazy mamma's routine. I found a nice lill app and set about doing climber's push ups, squads, push ups and total body extensions. Result? I could hardly walk after – #win ! I'm hoping to sort out the bike soon and start on a new routine with active recovery and one day rest. I still have a half marathon to run after all! Today I'm grateful for all the amazing technology that allows me easy access to work outs, support and healthy habits couching ( check out hugsandbacontribe.com to see what I'm talking about ). I am a healthy, happy and confident women and i love my ability to learn from my mistakes to adapt and improve. #HABselflove #gratitudejournal #recovery #mindset #hiit #runnersinjury #biker #halfmarathon #charity #youngepilepsy #hugsandbacontribe

Family day today, unfortunately when a 4 years old wakes up too early, that can mean the day is stressful and filled with arguments but i tried making the best i could out of it. I'm also working hard on changing my mind set when it comes to kids trouble, i know the more i loose my shit the more the lill guy plays up. In other news, today i upped my time to half and hour and increased the milage – as well as the milage per hour – and I'm rather happy with that. Also added a little IT mid ride (2×30 sec push up, 2x 20 sec plank, + 2x 30 sec each of 2 exercises that i can't remember the name of lol – all w 10 sec break in between ). Today i am grateful for living near so much green, our local park is big, safe, beautiful and only 5 minutes away. I am a motivated, determined and confident women and i love my sun kissed skin. #HABselflove #gratitudejournal #recovery #mindset #mummytrobles #positivequotes #bike #parklife #hugsandbacontribe

I haven't ran for almost 2 weeks now, i came down w a horrible pain after my last training and was giving my foot time to heal, however, the pain spread to the whole heel + shooting down my legs etc. I saw my gp yesterday and he put me on anti inflammatories for 10 days as well as ice and stretches. Hopefully in a week or so i should be able to start cycling to build up strength and will then have about month and a half to train for the half marathon. Not ideal but not impossible either. Im keeping ny thoughts positive and my food clean to help me getting through this. Today I'm grateful for all the support i have been receiving from the #hugsandbacontribe (check out hugsandbacontribe.com) I'm a healthy, strong and committed women and I'm making things happen. #newrunner #plantarfasciitis #runnersinjury #recovery #mindset

That's the view i get to run to and i just love that. Started my 3rd week today and I'm super excited with my performance. I had a really hard time last week with hardly any sleep and some some real bad food choices (still binge free, even though it was a near miss). After all that i thought running would be impossible this week but, not only i made it as it was my best run to date. Im up to 2 mins run and 1 min walk intervals and up to the 6th run i actually managed to keep it as jogging / run intervals. Im thrilled with that result, only 3 weeks in. I have no idea on distance etc, my main goal right now is to learn how to run and develop stamina. I can't believe how much im enjoying this. #lovingit #newrunner #halfmarathon #runforestrun #hotmama #illgetthere #setyourgoalsandsmashthem #5kcoach #stillbingefree

After over a month of very little sleep (takes me a long time to fall asleep and I'm wide awake ny 5am) last night saw me tossing and turning for hours and not getting much shut eye at all. All that put together with my lill one being up and ready to rumble by 7am = me dragging myself around all day with very little concept of what's actually going on around me. Lucky my neighbour came by with her lill one (to keep mine out of the way ) and some delicious cheese, that with coffee and sourdough bread really helped me waking up. Nonetheless the lack of energy and the banging headache stopped me from doing my run today. I did, however, manage to go for a brisk walk when my other half got home. That helps keeping me motivated and, who knows, might even buy me some time with Morpheus. #fingerscrossed #ineedsomesleep #halfmarathon #trainingmode #recovery #dieanotherday

Bumped into a family gathering during my run today. First day on my 2nd week doing 5k coach. Running intervals increased from 1 to 1.5 minutes and i struggled with the last 3 (aka ran less than the set time) but I'm happy i didn't skip any. Had a hard time with food since Saturday night, almost binged but just put it down to over eating and unfortunately a little secret eating (really the teenyest bit) but working hard not to let it get to me. After a 2 days break, this morning i was exhausted as my lill one woke up at 4am for about 40 minutes and then was up ready for the day at 7:30. It was hard going but as soon as my other half was back from work i went off to a late afternoon run and it sure felt good. There's a lot going on these next few days, including a dental surgery so i want to make sure i get my 3 runs in no matter what. #dieanotherday #recovery #runforestrun #halfmarathon #newrunner #newbie #5kcoach

Morning run after dropping the little one off to school. I completely forgot to switch on the gps so have no idea what my distance was but it doesn't matter, im really proud today as i managed all the runs. Sure i was a bit slow on the last 2 (the very last one was up hill, perfect ending to hype up the metabolism but it killed me lol). That was followed by a little interval training and stretches. I'm being really careful not to overdo because of my knee but the interval training is helping me to build strength. I still don't know when I'll get to 5k, let alone how I'll run a half marathon but my goal for this week was to do all the 6 runs from the 5k coach and i got it so couldn't be any happier. Oh yes..AND got a double yolk on my 3 eggs omelette #win #onedayatatime #recovery #beatingbingeeating #dieanotherday #halfmarathon #runforestrun #hotmama #illgetthere #setyourgoalsandsmashthem #hugsandbacon #effyourbeautystandards #healthyisthenewskinny

Just completed my first ever run, done on a 5k coach style and i guess that softened the blow. I am terribly overweight and out of shape so it might seem too ambitious or even silly to start with running but to me this is a major fiscal and mental challenge, also my motivation is to run a half marathon in October to support #youngepilepsy . I guess I've done well, 2.17 miles of running and walking (i did skip 2 runs but seen that i haven't worked out for ages im happy i done any running at all). I didn't feel totally knackered but on the way home my legs were super heavy so im sure I'll feel it tomorrow lol. To cool down i done some stretches as well and squads and planks to help strength my knees and core. #babystepsarethenewblack #recovery #beatingbingeeating #onedayatatime #charity #halfmarathon #newrunner #newbie
